UKRAINIANS LOOK ELECTRIC
FC Elektrowozniac have thrown down a marker in the race to be crowned champions on Saturday, after coming through a potentially tricky group with 3 wins from 3, scoring 16 goals and conceding only one. It’s going to take something special to stop them in their tracks.
The only other team to finish the group stage on maximum points is Engerau Boys Imooptik, from the Slovakian capital of Bratislava, They took 9 points from Group B, and they will be joined in the last 16 by FC Villa Mark, one of three Bulgarian teams that made it through to the knockout stages.
Zel Degson and FC Raicommerce both qualified from Group D and both remain unbeaten.
The same can be said for Group F where Zhanaozen and Help Car both made it safely through without losing a match.
The most remarkable story came in Grouo C though where Abus Gastro and Nyama Myasto booked their places in tomorrow’s last 16, but it looked for all the world that Caffe Bar Ćošak would get through after winning their opening two matches comfortably, only to concede a last minute goal in their final match that put them out.
Budmax (Group G), DXC Technology (Group H) and FC Temp (Group A), all won their groups and will be hoping to make the last 8 with the draw in their favour.
FC Even, ACS Arsenal, Garden Goats and PIjevIja 04 DC Light System complete the final 16 as runners up of their respective groups.
